Chance and Counters, Birmingham

Chance and Counters asked used us to manage the design and build of their new 300 sqm cafe in The Custard Factory, Birmingham. This was a massive site and our biggest project yet and we were responsible for all aspects of the build from aircon, fire systems, new partitioning and the furniture and fit out, but we love a challange!

As Chance and Counters is a board game cafe it was important for them for the space to be colourful and playful but also practical with flexible seating for 100 people.

We kept the space as open plan as possible, to pay homage to the buildings industrial past, whist creating a few cosy corners for some serious gaming and then added fitted bench seating, tables with a shelves underneath for games and boxes to live while eating your food (or to hide your secret Monopoly money stash), a comfy sofa area and of course a bar.
