No.5, Cheltenham
Our first project and the most difficult clients we have ever had, ourselves!
When we moved into our Victorian terrace house it had possibly one of the worst kitchens we had ever seen and this (adding to our lack of funds) pushed us into designing and making our own kitchen, and you might think designing for yourself if easy, but gosh darn we’re picky. We wanted to use all of the space we had and ensure it worked perfectly for us, as we’d have no one to blame but ourselves.
As we cook a lot we maximised the preparation space wherever we could and kept all ingredients close at hand with a pull out larder and spice cupboard. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen so we added a seating area for working and eating (or a viewing perch to admire our handiwork).
